The Triskele Principal Herald is a Greater Kingdom Officer with responsibility for facilitating the smooth
operating of the College of Heralds of Trimaris, direct supervision of and assistance to several deputy officers and
every local branch pursuivant, as well as general guidance of heralds-at-large. The successful applicant will be
appointed Jack Herald (Drop Dead Deputy) and will officially step up as Triskele Principal Herald no later than
Fall Coronation 2019

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Triskele Principal Herald is responsible for reporting to the Laurel office, maintaining records pertaining to
matters heraldic kept by the kingdom, and encouraging and facilitating the use of heraldry within the kingdom.
The Triskele Principal Herald also serves in an advisory role to the Crown and populace on all heraldic matters.

Qualifications:
Extensive heraldic experience is not required. However, a successful applicant will have a good understanding
of the administrative procedures of the College of Heralds and a basic knowledge of heraldry as it pertains to
the SCA. Reliable internet access for timely communication, familiarity with Kingdom Law and custom, the
SCA College of Arms Administrative Handbook, and Corpora are needed. Strong organizational skills, and the
ability to communicate comfortably and reliably with the Crown, Society and Officers, Peers and members of the
populace alike, both within and out of Kingdom, are a must.

Volunteer Opportunity: Local Reports Deputy, South (Kingdom Exchequer’s Office)

Local Reports Deputy, South (Exchequer’s Office)
The Local Reports Deputy is responsible for receiving and verifying the Quarterly Exchequer Reports for the
local groups of the Kingdom. This job is currently split between the “North” and the “South” deputies, roughly
geographically divided, with adjustments based on the local groups of the deputies. The “South” position is
currently open.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Local Reports Deputy will maintain communication with the local group exchequers in their assigned area.
They will send out quarterly reports with due dates and checklists, and receive completed quarterly reports and
check the contents for accuracy. They will also assist Kingdom Exchequer with domesday reports. This deputy
works closely with the Kingdom Exchequer regarding local groups.

Qualifications:
The Local Reports Deputy should have the ability to troubleshoot errors and assist exchequers on corrections.
They must have basic knowledge of Excel and good communication skills. This person must be an active member.
Previous exchequer experience is a plus.

Volunteer Opportunity: Education and Warranting Deputy (Kingdom Chronicler’s Office)

Education and Warranting Deputy (Chronicler’s Office)
The Education and Warranting Deputy assists the Kingdom Chronicler in the development of educational materials for the Chronicler’s office, and ensures that all Kingdom of Trimaris Chroniclers receive training and are properly warranted.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure local officers and relevant deputies are properly warranted. Oversee the issuing and renewal of warrants for the Chronicler’s office as needed. Assist in the development of warranting classes and other educational materials for the Chronicler’s office, preferably through Google Classroom or other easily accessible electronic media. Track participation in warranting classes and ensure training and education has occurred before warrants are issued. Participate in continuing education by being a resource for local groups with policy questions, the development of FAQs, and teaching classes as needed. Report to the Kingdom Chronicler on the status of warranting and assist with educational projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
The Education and Warranting deputy should have excellent organizational and administrative skills as well as experience in the development and delivery of education materials. They should be technologically competent and either have prior experience with electronic classroom media, or be willing to be trained. Prior Chronicler experience is desired, but not required. This position will require access to a computer and reliable internet. This deputy will be expected to interact with local officers and be available and responsive to inquiries.

Volunteer Opportunity: Barque Signet — Scroll Replacement Deputy (Kingdom Herald’s Office)

Barque Signet — Scroll Replacement Deputy (Herald’s Office)
The Barque Signet Herald is a deputy to the Chart Signet of Trimaris. The Barque Herald is responsible for
facilitating the replacement of damaged and missing award writs. The Barque Herald maintains contact between
award recipient and scribes ensuring a replacement writ will be completed and delivered to the award recipient in
a timely manner. The successful applicant will be appointed as Barque Herald no later than Trimaris Winter ArtSci
2019.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Barque Signet Herald is responsible for working with the populace to replace award scrolls that may have
been damaged, gone missing, or never received by the recipient of the award. This does not mean that the Barque
Signet Herald must create the scroll themselves, but instead facilitate between the scribes of the kingdom and the
populace to replace such scrolls.

Qualifications:
A successful applicant will have basic knowledge of the standards for award writs in the Kingdom of Trimaris and
connections within the scribal community. Knowledge and experience of calligraphy and illuminations are not
required for this position. Reliable internet access for timely communication and strong organizational skills are
required.

Volunteer Oppportunity: Local Newsletter Editor (Kingdom Chronicler’s Office)

Local Newsletter Editor (Chronicler’s Office)
The Local Newsletter Editor assists in the collection and production of local group newsletters. This position receives local group
newsletters submitted to Kingdom, reviews for required inclusions and compliance, offers basic proofreading and editing services, tracks submission compliance, and sends to society for archiving.

Duties and responsibilities:
Receive local group newsletters on behalf of the Kingdom Chronicler’s office, and track submission. Provide basic proofreading and editing services to ensure a minimum of obvious errors in local newsletters. Monitor local newsletters for required inclusions, creative releases, and other compliance items. Participate in the continuing education of local officers, especially as relates to newsletter requirements. Ensure local newsletters are passed through to society level for archiving. Report to the Kingdom Chronicler on the status of local group newsletters and assist with projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
The Local Newsletter Editor should have excellent organizational and administrative skills . They should be technologically competent with excellent attention to detail. Prior editor experience and familiarity with graphics and publishing software is highly desired. Prior Chronicler experience is desired, but not required. This position will require access to a computer and reliable internet. This deputy will be expected to interact regularly with local officers and be available and responsive to inquiries.

Volunteer Opportunity: Drop Dead Deputy (Kingdom Exchequer’s Office)

Drop Dead Deputy (Exchequer’s Office)
The Kingdom Exchequer Drop Dead Deputy is a person who has the ability to temporarily step into the role of
Kingdom Exchequer in an emergency situation where the Kingdom Exchequer is no longer able to complete the
duties of the role. This does not have to be a successor, and is recommended by Society to not be the preceding
Kingdom Exchequer.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Drop Dead Deputy will be responsible for managing all Kingdom assets and accounts and maintaining the
bookkeeping records in the event that the Kingdom Exchequer is unable to do so.

Qualifications:
The Drop Dead Deputy must have previous Exchequer experience. They must be able to communicate with the
Officers of the Kingdom, and with deputies and local exchequers. They must also be an active member with access
to the Kingdom newsletter.

The Seacat Herald serves as administrative assistant and secretary to Triskele Principal Herald and the College of
Heralds of Trimaris. The successful applicant will be appointed as Seacat no later than Trimaris Winter Art-Sci
2019.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Seacat Herald is responsible for maintaining the warrant roster of Trimaris’ heralds, facilitating email
notifications to heraldic clients during the submission process, and tracking the quarterly reports for all heralds
in the College. Other tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis and may depend on Seacat’s interests and
experience.

Qualifications:
A successful applicant will have a good understanding of the administrative procedures of the College of
Heralds, including OSCAR, and a basic knowledge of heraldry as it pertains to the SCA. Heraldic knowledge
and experience is not required for this position. Reliable internet access for timely communication and strong
organizational skills are required.

Documents Management Deputy (Seneschal’s Office)
This deputy will be responsible for determining what documents are currently being created and updated
throughout the Kingdom of Trimaris. This will include the manuals, checklists, and forms needed for the efficient
execution of the jobs being done by volunteers. The Deputy will be responsible for organizing, tracking, and
distribution of documents in progress within Trimaris at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The DMD will work with each of the Greater Kingdom Officers to discover and record what documents that office
has and who is currently responsible for creating or updating each document. Those lists will be uploaded to a
centralized spreadsheet with a page for each Office.
Once the lists have been compiled the DMD will set a schedule to periodically check on the progress of each
document. Progress reports should be sent quarterly to the Greater Kingdom Officer with the documents for their
office. When a document has been completed it will be distributed to the Kingdom Webminister to be added to
the appropriate places on the website. A date for a yearly review of the completed document should be set at the
time of distribution. All previous versions of documents will be archived within the DMD files.

Qualifications:
This person must have integrity as well as organizational, interpersonal, communication, time management,
clerical, and computer skills. Computer skills must include the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets. A
working knowledge of Kingdom Law and/or Corpora is helpful but not a necessity. The ability to work with Peers
and other writers is a must have skill.

Fall Crown Lyst Requirements A.S. 53

Though the great reign of Valbrandr and Cerric has just begun, we look to the future. To
that end, for any who would train for our Crown Tourney in November, please note the
following:

Crown Tourney Specifics:
-Email the King of Trimaris email account (king@trimaris.org) your letter of intent
-Include your name as fighter and the name of your consort
-Entrants are subject to approval at the Crowns’ whim
-The deadline is two weeks prior to Crown for all letters of intent (10/27/18)

Tourney Format:
(subject to change dependant on head count)
– Standard double elimination
-Tourney round victors defined by best two out of three
– At least one alternate weapon style prior to the finals
– Final bout is best three out of five, Crowns’ choice of weapons

As always, candidates must also meet the requirements listed in Kingdom Law  (section II.D) and  Corpora (section IV).

The Deputy will be responsible for organizing, tracking, and distribution of documents in progress within Trimaris at all levels.

Qualifications – This person must have integrity as well as organizational, interpersonal, communication, time management, clerical, and computer skills. Computer skills must include the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets. A working knowledge of Kingdom Law and/or Corpora is helpful but not a necessity. The ability to work with Peers and other writers is a must have skill.

Duties – Initially the Documents Management Deputy will need to work with each of the Greater Kingdom Officers to discovering and recording what documents the individual office is working on writing or needs to be updated and who is currently responsible for doing the writing or if it needs to be assigned. Those lists will be uploaded to a centralized spreadsheet with a page for each of the Greater Kingdom Offices. The spreadsheet should include the name of the document, version of the document, date that the document was started, who is writing it, and a projected date of completion.

Once the lists have been compiled the DMD will set a schedule to periodically check on the progress of each document. Progress reports should be sent to the Greater Kingdom Officer that oversees that document Quarterly unless that Officer has given a more accelerated timetable for that individual document . When a document has been completed it will be distributed to the Kingdom Webminister to be added to the appropriate places on the website. A date for a yearly review of the completed document should be set at the time of distribution. All previous versions of documents will be archived within the DMD files.
