New to the SCA?

Hello and welcome!

However you found us, welcome to the Society for Creative Anachronism!  We’re an international educational non-profit, focusing on the study and recreation of the everything pre-1600.

Mostly we focus on the cultures of Western Europe, though people are welcome to recreate and research cultures in contact with Western Europe by the end of the 15th century, so most of the world can be represented!

In the SCA you can learn to dance, do calligraphy and illumination, make and fight in armor, sew, cook and do pretty much anything else that was done in middle ages and renaissance periods.  The learning is part of the fun, so you don’t have to be a historian to come play and learn with us.

Some History of the SCA…
We got our start in Berkeley, California in 1966 and have grown to become an organization with 30,000+ members and an estimated 100,000 participants worldwide!  We divide the “Known World” into kingdoms, each ruled over by a King and Queen and a staff of volunteer officers.

The Kingdom of Trimaris is comprised of the majority of the state of Florida (excluding the Florida Panhandle) and Panama.  Local groups are located all over the state of Florida.  You can find your local group by clicking here.
